Rachel is Chief Operating Officer for Starfish Leadership and is responsible for driving the planning and execution of strategies developed by the executive management team. Additional responsibilities include creating and implementing systems for the operational infrastructure of the organization, collaborating with the management team to design and execute effective growth strategies, overseeing ongoing communications with clients and vendors, managing marketing and brand development, and fostering a success-driven, accountable environment within the company. Rachel was promoted to this expanded role in October 2016.
Prior to Starfish Leadership, Rachel cultivated a passion for developing talent and building effective teams in the arts. As director for a nationally recognized pre-professional dance training program, her focus on personal, team, and leader development launched the implementation of an improved operational design that resulted in increased revenue, organizational growth, and higher brand awareness at the community and national levels. As an advocate for dance and dance arts education, Rachel has designed and implemented programs in public schools and community education centers, created articles and weblogs promoting dance as an essential art form, coordinated events supporting the social and therapeutic benefits of dance, and continues to train talented young dancers. She is excited to bring her energy and enthusiasm for training and development to the Starfish team.
